Some Dar roads to be closed today

For security reasons several city roads will be
temporarily closed today and tomorrow as
Obama’s much awaited entourage drives
through the city.
Dar es Salaam Regional Commissioner Said
Meck Sadick has apologised ahead of time and
called on city residents to exercise patience
and tolerance in the face of the
inconveniencies that will be caused.
Speaking to journalists yesterday in Dar es
Salaam RC Sadik explained that today, the
affected roads will be the Nyerere, Nelson
Mandela and Ocean which will closed from
12.30 to 3.30 pm.
Roads which will be closed tomorrow from
9.00 am to 11.00 am are Morogoro, Ali
Hassan Mwinyi and Sam Nujoma.
Despite the road closure, Sadick explained that
it does not apply to pedestrians who will be
allowed to use the roads as usual.
