Kendrick Lamar Premieres 'Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe' Music Video

MTV's Hottest MC turns a funeral march into a
funeral party featuring comedian Mike Epps
standing out in blue.
Hip-hop
recording
artist
Kendrick
Lamar
unveils the
music
video for his track "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe"
off album "good kid, m.A.A.d city". The
Compton rapper's new clip comes a couple of
months after the deeply-themed, Drake-
assisted "Poetic Justice" video he released back
in February.
The visuals open with Lamar in church
attending a funeral where everyone dresses in
white. As MTV's Hottest MC for 2013 starts
firing his rhymes, the video alternately shows
him in cinematic wide screen shots rapping out
in an open field.
However, the mood of the clip shifts from
lonely and contemplative into a celebratory,
party mode when Lamar steps out of the
memorial service and hops into a limo with
some companions who start popping bottles
on the way to the burial grounds. Then, as he
steps out of the vehicle, the funeral march
suddenly turns into a funeral party, with Lamar
even posing in front of the casket with a
differently-dressed Mike Epps who is
portraying the role of the church pastor.
Lamar also receives a baptism of sorts in a
pool of liquor past mid-way through the five-
minute clip, with Epps even getting a fill while
holding a bottle. Fellow rappers Juicy J and
Schoolboy Q also join in on the festivities
before the uncanny video ultimately ends with
the message "Death to Molly."
