Jamie Anne Allman Welcomes Twin Boys After 'Horrible' Pregnancy

'The Notebook' actress feels 'totally great' after
she and her husband Marshall Allman become
parents of 'two normal, healthy babies.'

were treated
in hospital
until late
April because they were delivered 81 days
before the due date.
Jamie told Us Weekly that she had "horrible"
pregnancy with the boys. "I puked seven to 12
times a day, and then I peed my pants every
time I puked. I popped blood vessels all
around my eyes from every time I vomited,
and if I moved slightly I would puke, so I
couldn't really walk to the bathroom ," she
revealed.
She was also diagnosed with gestational
diabetes and had a shortened cervix which
forced her to use wheelchair. "They wanted me
in the hospital for three months because the
shortened cervix was slowly disappearing," the
actress said. She later suffered from a bladder
infection which led to the early birth of her
sons.
Her husband was by her side during the c-
section surgery to record the delivery.
However, the " Prison Break" actor was
overwhelmed and fainted in the delivery room.
"I was so nervous because I wanted to help
him and I couldn't do anything. So I just said,
'You gotta get out of here!' He started crawling
out of the operating room on all fours," Jamie
told the site.
The new mother visited her sons in hospital
every day while she regained her strength. "My
muscles had atrophied quite a bit because I
hadn't used them for sixth months," she said.
When the babies were discharged from
hospital, Oliver weighed in at 7 lbs., 7 oz and
Asher was 8 lbs., 1 oz. The boys were only 2
lbs., 11 oz. and 3 lbs. respectively when they
were born.
She feels "totally great" after recovering and
happy to have "two normal, healthy babies ."
Although her pregnancy gave her difficult
time, Jamie admitted that she wanted more
kids and dreamed of having a big family.
