The member of the '90s rap duo, which is
known for their backwards clothes, was found
unresponsive at his house in Atlanta and later
pronounced dead at an Atlanta hospital.

1. Kelly was
transported to
Atlanta Medical
Center, where he
was pronounced
dead, after being
found
unresponsive in
his home. The
cause of death
remains unknown and an autopsy is planned
for Thursday morning.
Kelly was born in Atlanta, June 11, 1978.
Together with his partner in Kris Kross, Chris
Smith, he was discovered by producer Jermaine
Dupri at an Atlanta shopping mall. In 1992, the
duo released their first album "Totally Krossed
Out" which features hit single "Jump". The
single topped Bilboard Hot 100 for 8 weeks
and was certified double platinum.
The duo, which was also popular for wearing
backwards clothes, didn't always work with
music. In the same year, they released a video
game titled "Kris Kross: Make My Video"
although it was later ranked 18th on a list of
20 worst games of all time.
Kris Kross released their second album, "Da
Bomb", in 1993 and their third album in 1996.
They recorded the "Rugrats Rap" for
Nickelodeon's cartoon "Rugrats" and it was
released on CD in 1998.
The duo split some time after their third album
was out to have solo career. Recently, they
reunited to perform at So So Def Records
label's anniversary.
