In keeping with the viral rollout of his
rebooted musical career, Justin
Timberlake took to Instagram on
Sunday to announce the release date
for the second part of his The 20/20
Experience album.
In a photo of him playing guitar in a
recording studio, Timberlake posted
the information on a computer
screen in the foreground that read,
"The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2) Sept.
30th." And, a month later, he will kick
off a solo world tour in support of
both albums, taking the stage on
October 31 in Montreal at the Bell
Centre. With more shows to be added
later, the current slate of gigs include
stops in Nashville, St. Louis, Las
Vegas, Dallas, Denver and Orlando,
Florida, through February 10.
No track listing, or official title, has
been announced for the 10-track
sequel album, but Timberlake
confirmed it was coming out during
an interview with Ryan Seacrest in
March, saying, "Let me clear a rumor
up. The news that this is only the
first half of the album, that's true.
That's all I'm going to say!"
After a six-year break between new
albums, this will be Timberlake's
second new disc in seven months.
The first 20/20 album debuted at #1
and fell just short of crashing the
million mark when it sold 968,000
copies. It has moved more than 1.6
million copies in six weeks on the
charts and has stayed in the top three
the entire time.

performance at Roseland Ballroom
on Sunday.
Producer/songwriter Jerome "J-Roc"
Harmon recent spilled a bit of
information about the second album
to Billboard, telling the magazine that
it will be a mix of new songs and
previously unreleased material from
the first album's sessions.
"Before we came to the 10 [songs on
The 20/20 Experience ] that he wanted
and the two bonus tracks, we had
over 30, 40 tracks," Harmon said. "So
I think he's going to go in, and we're
going to take some of the stuff that
we've already done, and of course
create more music at the same time."
Timberlake's first tour in six years
will touch down in North America,
Europe, South America and Australia
after he warms up with "Suit & Tie"
collaborator Jay-Z for their Legends of
the Summer stadium tour,
slated to kick off on July 17 in
Toronto. No support acts have been
announced for the solo dates.
