Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Resting at Home After Hernia Surgery

Dwayne Johnson, or The Rock ,
underwent emergency surgery for
three tears in his hernia. The
surgery was carried out on
Monday, April 22. Johnson's
representative told E! News that
the surgery forced Johnson to miss
the Los Angeles premiere of his
new movie with Mark Wahlberg ,
" Pain and Gain".
Johnson took to Twitter on
Tuesday, April 23, to inform fans
that he was recovering well.
"Surgery a success! Dr repaired 3
hernial tears (fun pain). Superman is on the mend..
#WeFallWeRise," he tweeted. He attached a picture of
him showing off his biceps in a Superman costume on his
hospital bed along with the post. Johnson's publicist Alan
Nierob told Associated Press that Johnson had been
discharged from hospital and now he is recovering at
home.
Director Michael Bay wished Johnson speedy recovery at
"Pain and Gain" premiere. "Dwayne's hurt tonight. He
was pushing it too hard. [He] needs to grow up and stop
wrestling 300-pound men," the director said.
Previously, Johnson announced via his Twitter account
that he got injured after having a wrestling match against
John Cena earlier this month. "In the middle of last
night's Wrestlemania match, I tore my abdomen &
abductor muscles off the bone. Just part of the job,"
Johnson wrote on Monday, April 8. He added, "But as we
know, it's all about #JustBringIt. WWE Universe, THANK
YOU for all the love & well wishes. Means everything to
me. #LeaveItAllInTheRing."
The " Fast Five " actor wrote again on Sunday, April 21 to
say that he had to undergo surgery. "Saw my Dr who had
to push my intenseness back thru the tear in my
abdomen. Kinda romantic. Surgery is next week.
#BringItOn," he
