Chris Pine Breaks Up With Girlfriend Dominique Piek

The 'Star Trek Into Darkness' actor and the
Sports Illustrated model reportedly decide to
split because of their busy schedule.

source told
the site
that the
" Star Trek
Into
Darkness"
actor decided to split from his Sports
Illustrated model girlfriend "a while ago."
Another source added that it was a decision
Pine and Piek made together.
The source said, "It was a mutual call. They
both needed their space." The source then
explained that the relationship didn't work
because of the pair's busy schedule, saying,
"She has been very busy with her modeling
work and traveling. He's got Star Trek and his
other projects keeping him busy."
"It's hard for two people at their age and on
their level. They'll both be just fine, though,"
the source continued and insisted that the
breakup wasn't a big deal for both parties as
they now would have more time to focus on
their career.
Pine and Piek went public with their
relationship when attending the 2012 Cannes
Film Festival together. The couple walked
hand-in-hand at the opening night gala in
France last year. However, both Pine and Piek
were tight-lipped about their relationship.
Prior to dating Piek, Pine was linked to the
likes of Olivia Munn and Audrina Patridge. Last
November, the 32-year-old actor reportedly
visited Piek's hometown in Capetown, South
Africa and "stayed with her parents" in the
country. As for Piek, the 26-year-old model
dated professional baseball player C.J. Wilson
and they split back in 2010.
