Heynckes hails 'wonderful' Bayern

Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes was "thoroughly satisfied" with the attacking display of his side as they cruised to a 6-1 Champions League win over Lille on Wednesday night.

The result ensures Bayern are top of Group F, level on points with Valencia, with two matches remaining against Los Che and then BATE Borisov.
It was a particularly rampant performance from the Bundesliga side as they scored five times in the opening 33 minutes, and Heynckes was delighted with the performance of his players.
He said: "Naturally, I'm thoroughly satisfied with our performance as a team. I think we could all see my team was very motivated and very focused going into the match.
"Everything went like clockwork for us in the first half. We saw textbook passing and wonderful finishing. On top of that, we've finally done better again with set plays."
Claudio Pizarro, who helped himself to a hat-trick, was also overjoyed with the display, and is hopeful they can continue their form in the games ahead.
He said: "That was enjoyable football. We played extremely well and applied pressure from the start. The early goal was important. I hope we can keep it up and keep on winning like that."
Meanwhile, Netherlands international Arjen Robben added to ZDF: "It was a superb game. The goals came at just the right moments."
Lille boss Rudi Garcia was left reeling by the huge defeat, which gives the 2011 French champions only a vain hope of qualifying for the Europa League.
"It is a defeat that hurts, Garcia said. "Looking at the first half, we saw a young team against an experienced team. We are not proud.
"Bayern is a big team. The step up was too high. I'm not sure we saw people who did not have desire but there was too much difference between the two teams. There was nothing to say, except to go home and try to digest all of this."
Lille captain Mickael Landreau echoed the sentiment that his side simply had to put the thrashing behind them and concentrate in hitting back in Ligue 1.
"Fortunately, we play again in three days," he said. "This is a good thing. We will not have much time to think about it. We must forget the Champions League and be focus on the rest."
